PowerNet is an alliance of electric utilities which offers an array of Internet services to the region. Services include Dial-Up Access, Web Hosting and Professional Web Design. Cherokee Electric Cooperative is a PowerNet Partner.

TVA

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is a federal corporation, the nation's largest electric-power producer, a regional economic-development agency and a national center for environmental research. Cherokee Electric Cooperative purchases power from the TVA.

NRECA

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to representing the national interests of cooperative electric utilities and the consumers they serve. Cherokee Electric Cooperative is a member of NRECA.

TVPPA

The Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA) provides comprehensive and cost-effective services to electric utilities. TVPPA is the nonprofit service organization for consumer-owned utilities that purchase electricity from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Cherokee Electric Cooperative is a member of TVPPA.

AREA

The Alabama Rural Electric Association of Cooperatives (AREA) is a member-owned federation of rural electric cooperatives throughout the state. AREA provides a wide range of services to its member utilities, including the monthly magazine Alabama Living. Cherokee Electric Cooperative is a member of AREA.
